Immunization Schedule
Birth
Hep B (Hepatitis B)
➤ Protects against a viral liver infection spread through blood/bodily fluids and attacks the liver- can cause lifelong liver damage, failure, or cancer.
RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus – seasonal)
➤ Helps prevent severe lung infections like bronchiolitis and pneumonia in infants.
2, 4, 6 Months
At 2, 4, and 6 Months, each visit includes these important vaccines:
DTaP (Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis)
➤ Diphtheria: throat infection that can block airways
➤ Tetanus: muscle spasms from bacteria in soil
➤ Pertussis: whooping cough, dangerous for infants
Hib (Haemophilus influenzae type B)
➤ Prevents brain infections- meningitis, ear infections, and severe throat swelling (epiglottitis).

IPV (Inactivated Polio Vaccine)
➤ Polio can cause lifelong paralysis and even death.
PCV (Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccine)
➤ Protects against pneumonia, ear infections, sinus infections, and meningitis.
Rotavirus (oral vaccine)
➤ Stops severe diarrhea and dehydration caused by Rotavirus in babies and toddlers.
12 Months
Hep A (Hepatitis A)
➤ Protects against liver infection spread by contaminated food/water; causes fatigue, nausea, jaundice.
MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
➤ Measles: rash, fever, pneumonia, brain swelling
➤ Mumps: swollen cheeks/jaw, possible deafness or infertility
➤ Rubella: mild in kids, but can cause birth defects if a pregnant person is infected
Varicella (Chickenpox)
➤ Protects against chickenpox- Causes itchy rash, fever; can lead to skin infections, pneumonia, or brain swelling.
15 Months

18 Months

MMR + Varicella (ProQuad)
➤ One shot for full protection from Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Chickenpox
DTaP + IPV (Kinrix)
➤ Protects against Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis, and Polio again before school
11 - 18 Years
Tdap: protects teens from Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis
HPV: prevents cancers caused by the Human Papillomavirus
Meningococcal: protects from deadly meningitis and bloodstream infections
